How To Unlock Your Device Using Ultrasn0w [tutorial]
This tutorial shows you how to unlock your iPhone using the Dev Team's Unlocking tool, Ultrasn0w.
Ultrasn0w 1.2 has now been released, if you have an iPhone 3G or iPhone 3GS and have the baseband 05.14.02 or 05.15.04, click here to follow our tutorial to update your baseband to 06.15.00 first.
-Step 1: Unlocking requires that your phone is jailbroken. Follow the complete guide posted here to jailbreak your iPhone 4, 3GS, or 3G on iOS 4.1 using Greenpois0n, Limera1n or Sn0wbreeze.
-Step 2: Once you are done with the jailbreak, you can now unlock your iPhone by installing Ultrasn0w through the 'Cydia' application (not including the o2.10.04 baseband for iPhone 4)
- Launch “Cydia” from the springboard on your iPhone.
- Touch on “Manage” tab on the bottom.
- Now tap on “Sources”
- Click “Edit” and then on “Add”. You will be prompted to enter a url source as seen in the screenshot below. Type “http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com” and touch on“Add Source” to add this repo if you haven’t already.
- Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.
- After installation is completed. Search for “Ultrasn0w 1.2” in Cydia and install this application. This app will automatically unlock your iPhone so that you can use it with any carrier.
-Step 3: Now simply restart your iPhone and voila! you should now have a fully unlocked iPhone.

Now a days there are lot of methods available to unlock an iphone3gs such as hardware,software,sam,factory unlock method,remote unlock method and etc.But according to my opinion remote unlock method is the best and easy method to unlock an iphone3gs. Because other methods contains lot of steps. It is not comfortable for me. So i have chosen remote unlock method and i got service from this site Wickedunlock.com and unlocked my iphone3gs easily.
